Pro Tips for Application

Fit sidewall to sidewall. Choose a form that covers the natural nail completely without squeezing the sidewalls.
Check the centre line. Position the form straight with the finger so the finished oval doesn't drift to either side.
Check the profile before applying product. Make sure the form's natural arch works with the client's nail before you begin.
Build your apex inside the form. Keep adequate product through the stress area and taper toward the cuticle and free edge.
Use gentle pressure. Pressing too firmly can force product away from the apex and create a thin stress area.
Clean underneath before curing. Remove excess product around the underside and free edge to minimize filing afterward.
Flash cure when needed. Once placement is correct, flash cure to secure the form before completing the full cure according to your gel manufacturer's instructions.
Remove gently. Once completely cured, flex the reusable form slightly to release it rather than pulling it straight off.

Size sidewall to sidewall. The dual form should cover the entire nail plate without squeezing or pinching the sidewalls.

Check the fit before adding product. Look at the form from the front and side to make sure the arch and width suit the natural nail.

Build the structure inside the form. Place enough product through the stress area to create the apex, then taper toward the cuticle and free edge.

Don't press the form down too hard. Excess pressure can push product out of the apex area and leave the finished enhancement too thin.

Watch underneath the nail. Remove excess product from beneath the free edge before curing to reduce filing and cleanup.

Flash cure if needed. Once you're happy with the position, a quick flash cure can help hold the form in place before completing the full cure according to your gel manufacturer's instructions.

Remove the form gently. After the product is completely cured, flex the reusable form slightly from side to side rather than pulling aggressively.

Let the form do the work. A properly sized and positioned dual form should leave you with much less shaping and filing afterward.
