Work from the lightest translucent shade to the darkest. Leave irregular spaces and vary the size of each patch—perfect tortie is supposed to look a little imperfect.

Use Blooming Gel between colour layers and give the pigments a moment to spread before curing. A fine liner brush gives you more control around French tips and accent details.

Apply thin, even coats and follow the current curing directions printed on each bottle.
