• Fit sidewall to sidewall. Choose a form that covers the natural nail completely without squeezing the sidewalls.
• Check the centre line. Position the form straight with the finger so the finished oval doesn't drift to either side.
• Check the profile before applying product. Make sure the form's natural arch works with the client's nail before you begin.
• Build your apex inside the form. Keep adequate product through the stress area and taper toward the cuticle and free edge.
• Use gentle pressure. Pressing too firmly can force product away from the apex and create a thin stress area.
• Clean underneath before curing. Remove excess product around the underside and free edge to minimize filing afterward.
• Flash cure when needed. Once placement is correct, flash cure to secure the form before completing the full cure according to your gel manufacturer's instructions.
